INNSide the Verse Feature Image

This week, on INNside the ‘Verse Episode 63…

We have Fourth Oracle on the show!

Fredrik ‘Fourth Oracle’ Knudsen has written some excellent articles for INN in the past few weeks, from the ‘Why Should I Fly‘ series, to ‘Bugs in Space‘, to ‘A Beautiful Grind‘. He’s also written a novel called the Distended Eye, which you can check out over on Amazon.

Fourth Oracle was joined this week by the usual gang of mobsters, JakeAcappella, David Alloggia, and Shiver Bathory.

During this weeks cast we mention a few extra articles, such as this preview of upcoming Supergiant games’ Pyre, and this preview of the recently funded Kickstarter title Avorion.

As always, we hope you enjoy the show, and if you’d like to join us live, we air every Saturday, 2:30 Eastern, 11:30 CIG time. If you can’t join us live, you can always send in your questions, either by commenting on this post, or by throwing David an email at

Cheers, and we’ll see you in the ‘Verse!

Oh, we also mention our Patreon, which you can check out here if you feel so inclined.

    Hi David,

I run 2x GTX970s in SLI. Having moved over from two crossfire AMD cards, your issues make me think that your problems seem like a hardware defect.

Crossfire is much more flexible than SLI. I could use different generation cards of the same core. Back in the day I used a 5850 and a 5870, things may have changed but I would be skeptical. SLI has an interesting nuance that really annoys me. I have to use the outputs on the primary card. That means If I have two DisplayPort monitors I am SOL since no nvidia card has more than one DP at a time. This means I need to use the DP and HDMI. Add a 3rd monitor.. now i need to use the DVI port. As for software, I wonder about why I keep hearing about bad AMD drivers. I had very little problem with my AMD drivers failing.

I understand your frustration. If that happened to me, I would be livid. I still think it may be a hardware problem.

All this said, moving over to a 1070 seems like it should be a pretty significant upgrade. I am looking at a single 1080 myself.

      Hey mate!

I’ve actually tried a few different things with the hardware. Both cards work on their own, and both PCI slots work on their own as well. Using a 1200w PSU as well, so I don’t think that can be the problem.

Basically I have NO idea what the problem is, and I’m just gonna try to afford a 1070 / 1080 when they come out, cause they’re damn pretty : D
